Nightmare for Mason Greenwood as Man Utd loanee receives straight red card for dissent to leave Getafe with nine men against Rayo Vallecano
Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood received a straight red card for dissent during Getafe’s La Liga clash with Rayo Vallecano.
Sergio Camello scored the opening just before half time to make matters worse for Getafe. He doubled Rayo’s lead two minutes later, before Greenwood was sent for an early shower.
Running at the Rayo defence, Greenwood was clearly obstructed, but the referee waved play on. This led to the United loanee having words with the official and he was shown a straight red card as a result.
